Extras

From time to time I will post an extra little tip or trick here as a thank you to my readers.

Lark's Head Knot
First up is how to secure those slippery, slithery, threads that look so beautiful but can have you pulling your hair out. The trick here is to use a Lark's Head Knot to lock your thread into the eye of the needle. A Lark's Head is the same knot that many of you use to loop your thread to a thread organizer or attach a fob to your scissors.

First, fold the thread about 2-inches from the end and thread the loop through the eye of the needle.

Now, slip the loop over the point of the needle, and tighten the loop in the eye of the needle.

Sweet! Now that thread will stay put!
